St. David's Garden Helping 'Beet' Hunger
Set to the lovely Welsh melody, Ar hyd y nos is the hymn “For the Fruit of All Creation” (Common Praise #259). It came to mind as I admired the garden St. David’s planted for Edmonton Food Bank. Last year we had three garden boxes made from old garage doors; this year two more were donated by Jim Kadatz in memory of his mother, Grace Kadatz. Grace served on the altar guild, ACW, as a vestry secretary, and as newsletter editor among other things. Sacred Teachings, Season 7The Good Mind This season of Sacred Teachings is dedicated to Ginny Doctor, former executive producer of the series, until her untimely passing. This episode is founded on what Ginny taught about the "Good Mind." It was about finding balance within ourselves and in our lives. Part of that balance is our connection to the Land, which is key to the health and wellness of the First Peoples. Thank you for listening to this episode of Sacred Teachings. Hastings Lake Bible Camp Update
The program director at HLBC writes in this week's newsletter: "Thank you for all your prayers during the summer so far! The first two camps have been an amazing start to the season. We were so thankful for the new Trinity Lodge last week as we were able to move the campers from cabins to the basements of both Trinity and Solomon’s Lodge. The heat was a real struggle but we were blessed with alternate sleeping accommodations and borrowed AC units to get us through. Thanks be to GOD! Family 1 has shown us how special it is to praise and worship Jesus with the community around us. It’s something, everyone has missed very much. As we head into Jr. Youth, I ask that you continue to pray for camp and the hardworking staff and SITs. For more infomation visit:

Love My Neighbour Interfaith Projectopportunity to gift-forward COVID-19 vaccine The Love My Neighbour project, in partnership with UNICEF, is a grassroots Canadian interfaith initiative which is seeking to respond to these questions by encouraging people of faith and compassion - Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Zoroastrians, and many more - to "gift forward" the cost of 1 vaccination in another part of the world for every 1 vaccination administered in Canada. For just $25, you can cover the costs for someone else to be vaccinated and multiply the gift you were blessed to freely receive. Visit www.lovemyneighbourproject.org for more information, and a link to the donation page. For more infomation visit: http://edmonton.anglican.ca/news/love-my-neighbour-interfaith-project
