St. Savior’s Anglican Church in Vermilion has donated $2,300 to lunch programs run through the public and catholic school systems. The Vermilion Elementary School Lunch Program Society received $1,500 and $800 went to the St. Jerome’s Hot Lunch Program. All funds were raised during St. Saviour's annual rummage sale held this year on September 21. Rector the Rev. Elizabeth Metcalfe told the local newspaper, The Voice, “It’s really important for children to have food in their bellies to learn; you can’t learn when you are hungry. We would like to express our thanks to the community for their support.”
