The Diocesan Synod is held every two-three years. It is a gathering of representatives from all the parishes in the Diocese of Edmonton (the area roughly between Whitecourt in the north and Ponoka in the south, from the Saskatchewan border to the BC border). The representatives are all the clergy in the diocese and elected parishioners from each parish, plus people appointed by the Bishop.

For delegates, Synod is an opportunity to get to know others from around the diocese, to share experiences and resources and to learn a bit about the church outside your own parish.
