Joy of Companion Partners the 'Single Best Thing'
Returning to the Synod Office this week, Bishop Stephen London, shared with diocesan staff that the “single best thing” about his recent visit to our companion Diocese of Buye in Burundi, Africa was “the sheer joy” expressed by Anglicans through singing and dancing. Everywhere he and the Rev. Stephanie London traveled, even in Bigomo, one of the hardest parishes to access, “Hundreds of people lined both sides of the road, singing welcome songs and tossing flowers on the windshield. (Watch video on Facebook). They were so grateful we were there,” he says. For more infomation visit: http://edmonton.anglican.ca/news/joy-the-single-best-thing--1636

When the Rev. Eric Kregel has a moment to spare, he writes. But first comes ministering to St. Peter’s Filipino congregation and St. Paul’s, where he is an assistant priest, in west Edmonton, as well as the Mustard Seed in Old Strathcona, all while raising two daughters with his wife Catherine So, it was a surprise even to Kregel, to learn poetry he had originally published on his blog (https://ericjkregel.wordpress.com/), was also being published as a book. “All of a sudden there was a book deal and a draft manuscript,” he says, noting that the book project was driven by illustrator and publisher Olivia Wylie.
