Canterbury Foundation, a faith-based supportive living seniors’ residence in Edmonton, has offered the "Promise of Home" to Edmonton seniors for more than 45 years. Canterbury’s first Board of Directors was recruited from the membership of the Anglican parishes of Christ Church and St. Timothy’s, Edmonton. Today, Canterbury offers three seniors' accommodation options for a seamless continuum of care, so residents can stay in a familiar environment and age-in-place as their needs for support and assistance change.

Beginning in April 2018 the Edmonton diocese provided dedicated spiritual care and emotional support to the residents of Canterbury Court. Read more about the Canterbury Chaplaincy in the September 2018 issue of The Messenger. To support the Canterbury Chaplaincy Program, please email Canterbury Fund Consultant Margo Buckley.

Canterbury Foundation is in Capital Campaign mode, currently expanding and modernizing. Its dementia wing is expanding from 20 to 50 spaces, and preparations are underway to construct a residential hospice and complex care unit.
