As the United Church, and broader community, seeks to address the calls to action aimed at churches from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, we seek to understand the path forward and, in the words of the TRC "to respect Indigenous spirituality in its own right". Evelyn Day will speak to her connection to her indigenous spirituality as well as her experience within Christianity and the United Church, February 10, 12 noon - 1:30 pm, Ashbourne Assembly Hall 11148–84 Avenue. Light lunch provided. POSTER

Evelyn Day is a native elder from the Tahltan Nation. Evelyn currently acts as the indigenous liaison for the United Church workgroup Moving Forward with Reconciliation and has established connections with most of the United Churches in Edmonton and the immediate area. Evelyn also does significant outreach in the inner-city, through blanket exercises, and with school programs.
