The Bishop of Edmonton invites applications for the position of Incumbent of the parish of St. Patrick’s, Edmonton. This is a 3/4-time position.

The Parish of St. Patrick’s is a close-knit family parish seeking a priest with a heart for pastoral care and community connection. The parish has an active and faithful core of parishioners and is a hub for community and rental groups.

St. Patrick’s community worships together with a BAS Eucharist on Sunday mornings. Attendance levels, though strongly impacted by the pandemic, have been steadily increasing. Now the parish looks for support as they connect with one another and the diverse community around them.

When surveyed, parishioners indicated they seek a rector with the following attributes:

●     Well-spoken and follows the word of Jesus;

●     Attentive to pastoral care; notices when someone is not at church and reaches out;

●     An ability to work with all members of the congregation while still managing to protect their individuality and ability to meet personal needs;

●     Focus on connecting with individuals in their everyday lives and on reaching out to our diverse church family as we all seek our oneness in Christ.

They envision their rector having the personality and enthusiasm to reach out within their neighbourhood to connect with individuals, inviting them to be part of the church community.

St. Patrick’s is situated in South Edmonton in Mill Woods.
