Continuing our series on parish records, this week will focus on meeting minutes and other records to be prepared for permanent archival.
Outside of the financial records discussed last week, there are several records that parishes should appropriately prepare and archive. This allows for such items to be a resource for historical research for generations to come. Included in this is:
Items for archiving should be prepared by the parish and sent to the Synod Office for review. The Synod Office will then forward items on to the Provincial Archives for safekeeping. To learn how to properly prepare items, please see the summary sheet HERE.
