Mapping Compassion Across Canada with Alongside Hope

A recent Alongside Hope gathering brought together our Alongside Hope leaders and Indigenous wisdom holders from across Canada, including the Anglican Church of Canada’s National Indigenous Anglican Archbishop Chris Harper, Diocese of Edmonton Archdeacon for Indigenous Ministries Travis Enright, and Mapping Coordinator Helen Chan Bennett. This event celebrated collaboration in building communities of healing, reconciliation, and mutual care.

The Anglican Church’s mapping exercise highlights where ministries of hope, justice, and compassion are taking root across the country. By participating, dioceses help illuminate the Church’s collective witness—where the Spirit is already at work, inviting us to walk together in hope and renewal.
