Resolutions Passed by the 68th Synod

The 68th Synod followed the theme of Together on the Way and featured the principles and goals of the Edmonton diocese's strategic path, Finding Our Way. Synod passed several RESOLUTIONS to guide the diocese forward on this path, including establishing a fund for local Indigenous-led community projects and healing initiatives; the affirmation of LGBTQ2SIA+ persons by creating safe and affirming communities; and the creation of a regional Ecumenical Shared Ministry Coordinating Circle.

68th Synod - 2022

In the spirit of peaceful dialogue, understanding, reconciliation, and healing, we walk alongside our Indigenous and Métis relations on the Treaty 6 and Treaty 8 Territories, the traditional meeting ground of Cree, Saulteaux, Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Nakota Sioux, Dene, Métis, and Inuit peoples.
